PREFABS
stormbirds have a variety of abilities, the most well know being the ability to morph their forms
stormbirds have a 'true' form which is their original out the egg body type. this body is centaur like in nature and can reach incredible heights. however as society advanced smaller and more humanoid forms became the norm. but they have their true forms as a default
they also have other forms that used to be the trend before settling on a more humanoid shape. these remain in their genetic memory. we call these; 'PREFABS'. you can think of them as a fun flair to add to your stormbird if you want to explore changes to the normal humanoid shape.
in addition to these there's minor augmentations in the PREFAB category.
1, insectoid limbs, these can be added anywhere on the torso, neck and head. these were once primary limbs but are now evolutionary leftovers. they're often used for tasks like silk weaving or advanced locomotion
2, insectoid wings, insectoid wings are popular in hot regions as a way to cool off but have little function elsewhere
