Overview

Artimesians(stormbirds) are an alien race that resides on the planet artimesia.

They’re a species in their diplomatic stages of society ruled by monarchs.

While the majority of the species population is present on their planet they’ve been sending out colonization parties to other planets for years.

Its common to find a few small hidden settlements on a few viable planets. Even on earth!

There are four types of settlement populations you can choose to build from:

Integrated, domesticated, closed, and wild.

  • -Body types can vary-

  • However, lower leg areas will not gain weight but can be shorter or stockier for some.

  • No strict gender presentation or binary

  • Large toes and long legs. Generally, they tend to hop around unless it's a short distance.

  • Shoulders tilt slightly downwards. -Arms are quite long as well. Allowing them to tilt forward and traverse on four legs if needed.

  • Legs take up around 2/3rds of body height. Leading to many tall heights but still average-sized bodies.

  • The beak is retractable and separated from the skull like a jaw.

  • The lower jaw is made out of two parts split in the middle and is stabilized by the beak.

  • -Slitted eyes, able to react to light. Having both tapeta lucida and a nictitating membrane.

Rules

  • Credit PeachJuice as species Creator when questioned or posted in a space where species is commonly discussed

  • Take time to read the species info before creating or adopting one.

  • You can design your own stormbirds! As many as you want! They are not limited to adopts only!

  • You can design adopts using your own art.

  • You are allowed to sell and trade away an original stormbird design or purchased adopt

  • You can commission artwork/fursuits/writing/etc of your stormy!

  • Raffles and auctions for stormbird designs are allowed

  • Don't engage/depict your stormy in IRL racism or hate speech, including artwork and rps.

  • Don't get/make NSFW artwork/content/writing of your stormy depicted as a child or feral animal

  • You can (and are encouraged!) give your stormy their own backstories and lore!

  • Stormies can be inserted into whatever universe or au you desire. They’re a spacefaring species [link lore page]

  • Some design elements will be locked from public use for the time being as they are directly tied to the source story material. Please respect this.

FOR MINORS

  • Don't lie about your age, and respect the content that has been filtered and tagged NSFW. if you do see it, I'd bet you're either purposefully dodging the warnings/tags, or an adult hasn't been filtering their NSFW properly.

  • If an adult isn't filtering and you see something NSFW by accident, tell a moderator of the platform. But if you are worming into NSFW areas that have been CLEARLY LABELED and should be BLOCKED OUT for confirmed under 18 members, then you are in the wrong for doing so.

FOR ADULTS

Adults, if you draw NSFW art, always remember to have some profile/character filters and warnings in place.

ON NSFW CONTENT OF STORMBIRDS

I allow it to an extent. as long as you're not making anything illegal, and are not actively/knowingly showing it to minors and drawing minors I have no problems with it.

COMMERCIAL USE

if it's your own character or design I'm fine with it! however as a rule please don't make any set in the original material of the species. I have a fine-tuned web of how their world works. in other settings I don't mind!
